​High-Strength, Precipitation-Hardened Stainless for Medical, Aerospace, and Industrial Applications
17-4 PH (UNS S17400) is a precipitation-hardened martensitic stainless steel offering an excellent balance of high strength, corrosion resistance, and machinability. It can be heat-treated to various conditions (H900, H925, H1025, etc.), each offering specific mechanical properties for precision applications.
In the medical industry, 17-4 PH is widely used for surgical tools, orthopedic instruments, and components requiring dimensional stability and durability under stress. Available to meet ASTM A564, AMS 5643, and ASTM F899 specifications.
